Product Insight (2023–Present)

Director of Design | January 2023–Present

• Recruited and managed a 14-person design team. Broadened the industrial design team by adding expertise in UX, design research, and human factors engineering, which resulted in more user-driven, research-backed product decisions and improved overall design quality.

• Launched a dedicated design visualization function to enhance product development outputs: enabled product vision casting and elevated client communications.

• Improved execution standards across the organization by developing new processes, upskilling the team, and adopting new technologies. Enabled effective collaboration and team alignment. Improved execution efficiency and ensured clear cross-departmental coordination.

• Deployed an assistive on-the-road technology to lower the mental demands of delivery drivers, resulting in improved efficiency and reduced error rates. Led early-stage design and oversaw pilot studies through product launch and product expansion workstreams.

• Directed the research and design development of an automated storage and retrieval system with particular focus on human-to-machine interactions, both physical, spatial, and digital.

Accenture (2017–2022)

Industrial Design Lead, North America: Principal Director, Industry X | December 2021–November 2022

• Led a 16-person industrial design team for the smart connected products offering across 4 locations in North America (Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, and Detroit).

• Unified four design acquisitions, nurtured talent/capabilities, and championed cross-functional collaboration.

• Established and standardized go-to-market materials and asset management, improved business development responsiveness, simplified design operational process, and storytelling.

• Led client programs, including a cross-functional team to design and develop clinician tools and workflows, for patient enrollment and onboarding of a new chronic kidney disease program.

Experience Design Lead: Senior Manager, Industry X | April 2017–December 2021

• Led design capabilities for the Northeast market unit, comprised of industrial, brand, and environment designers, and design strategists for smart connected products offering.

• Developed product roadmap and scalable design principles and language for a large beverage joint venture. Led a design and development team to cultivate ideas, prototyped and envisioned solutions, and detailed designed concepts in addition to establishing a vision of the future, for a portfolio of smart connected home appliances and accessories.

• Led research and development for a large wearable client, managed a team of designers and engineers to build proof-of-concept prototypes to test, and validated ideas that informed future product development.

Altitude, Inc. (2005–2017)

Director, UX Design | November 2013–April 2017

• Designed a connected health home therapy platform (desktop and mobile) for digitizing patient flowsheets, enabling weekly trend reports, and patient supplies reordering.

• Designed a rugged handheld analytical scanner, led the team to develop the physical product design, and embedded a digital interface that supported 13 different industrial use cases, workflows, and data needs.

• Built a UX design discipline and process that strengthened the company’s connected products offering.

• Director, Industrial Design | February 2009–November 2013

• Responsible for business development, group management, capabilities development, and design team growth. Accountable for all creative output, client programs, and team health.
